In 2017, the Banta-Carbona, Patterson, and West Stanislaus Irrigation Districts embarked on a landmark study examining the role of non-native predator species in declining native fish populations in the Delta.

Although habitat, water, and food impact our native Salmon, predation has received comparatively little attention and is least understood, a missing piece of the puzzle.

This video is a snapshot of the efforts that the Districts and scientists have undertaken to provide critical information to support effective management of native fish species and California’s water supply.
